Completion of private lessons, or a private assessment is required to take part in Aquababies, FUNdamentals, Strokes N’Floats!*
In our graduate group classes, we rely and build on the already attained safety skills but start putting a stronger emphasis also on the swimming mechanics of kicking and correct body position.**
This is also the time when and where our swimmers learn to ENJOY the water SAFELY and INDEPENDENTLY!
They can now practice their skills in a more casual environment by going down slides, sitting on and jumping of floats, diving for rings, and much more!
Such as with any skill in life, you have to use it to maintain it! This counts especially for skills learned during ongoing development. Children grow physically, emotionally, and mentally very quickly in the first six years of their lives.Their center of gravity will change as their limbs become longer and muscle distribution changes and their concept of water changes as their brains become more advanced. In continued maintenance classes the children learn to continuously adapt to it and instructors are especially trained to assist in that process. Once independent swimming and floating are mastered, practice lessons are simply imperative to keeping them! The longer a child has been in lessons, the longer of a break they can have without a laps in confidence but their skills will always abate to some degree.
So to preserve, strengthen and advance swimming skills and confidence as your child grows, please consider letting your child take part in our group classes specifically designed for our own survival series graduates!
All our group classes cater to a specific skill set and approximate age group.
You will be registered into the one we believe is the best individual fit for your child!

- We work hard and play hard. Slides, floats, toys, games and songs promote aquatic enjoyment while maintaining their hard learned safety skills in a casual manner and effortlessly advancing into strokes when the time is right!
- Low Student/Teacher ratio. 6-1 in our Parent assisted Aquababies and 4-1 in Funday, Strokes & Floats and Strokes.
- Skill rather than age based group placement.
* Private refresher/assessment or Parent & Me class (for children younger than 30 months) required for all returning students that are not enrolled in weekly maintenance lessons.
** It’s also a time where the instructor can assess if there are any issues with swimming skills. If possible, we try to correct issues in class. If more time is needed, a one-on-one private may be scheduled to help your swimmer stay on track. When your child is enrolled in a group class, and parent adhere to practicing guidelines, there is no fee for additional privates your child might need as long as parents adhere to our guidelines for recreational swimming outside of class..
